The safety assessment of chemicals is a complicated process. To reach meaningful conclusions, risk assessors must have access to all relevant knowledge and data in an efficient, standardized and harmonized manner. It’s a tall order. But DC Risk Assessment, a new web-based application from Douglas Connect (now Edelweiss Connect), succeeds by integrating the approach used by OpenTox and other publicly accessible toxicology data sources and risk visualization tools.
