OpenTox Virtual Conferecne 2020 Session 2. Text Mining Applications in Toxicology
Over recent years, advancements in text-mining and natural language processing (NLP) have enabled large-scale information extraction, knowledge representation and discovery. It is increasingly recognized that structured knowledge as extracted from unstructured text ( publications, reports, news etc) can be a very useful aid for toxicology related workflows/tasks. This session will be focusing on applications of text mining and natural language processing (NLP) in the feild of toxicology. The goal of this session is to give a birds eye view, with examples, of succesful application of text mining in toxicology. We hope that this session will kindle interest on how the pursuit of knowledge gathering and representation from natural language can help in improving existing toxicology workflows.
