Session: Toxicokinetics
Chairs: Matt Linakis and Harvey Clewell
Recent advancements in new approach methodologies (NAMs) have placed substantial emphasis on in vitro to in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) as a pivotal objective, requiring comprehensive toxicokinetic (TK) assessments. The field of toxicokinetics has undergone a paradigm shift, including a focus on high-throughput (HT) techniques that have substantially expedited TK evaluations. This session will focus on the development of these innovative models and tools, along with their application potential. Additionally, the session will highlight the importance of incorporating variability into toxicokinetic modeling to enhance the representativeness and predictive accuracy of these approaches.
