OpenTox Summer School 2025
A Data Onramp for Toxicology
This presentation introduces innovative solutions for toxicology data management and analysis. We explore BioBricks.ai, a package manager for toxicology data, and Chemharmony, a comprehensive chemical data integration platform. These tools address challenges such as data silos and heterogeneous schemas, enabling efficient data harmonization and integration across multiple sources. We discuss Toxindex.com, a platform integrating computational services for chemical hazard assessment, and introduce Property Sequence Transformers for molecular language modeling. The presentation also covers the development of a semantic knowledge graph for toxicology, aimed at improving data discoverability and accessibility for AI-driven applications. Real-world applications, including safer polymer development and literature-based discovery, demonstrate the practical value of these approaches. Attendees will gain insights into cutting-edge data integration techniques and their potential to accelerate toxicology research and decision-making processes, ultimately improving chemical safety assessment and regulatory compliance.
