OpenTox Virtual Conference 2026

The Target Safety Review (TSR) is a foundational document that initiates target safety assessment - a systematic process for identifying, characterizing, and managing safety risks associated with drug targets. By organizing existing knowledge on a target's characteristics, biology, and disease relevance, the TSR reveals potential risks and supports mitigation strategies such as candidate refinement and project strategy adjustments. At EvalyteBio, we specialize in de-risking therapeutic targets and delivering high-impact scientific communication, drawing on industry best practices and real-world drug discovery experience. In this presentation, we will show how integrating biological, mechanistic, and safety information produces a truly robust target safety assessment. We will also examine how far AI has come in compiling TSRs, exploring its real capabilities and current limitations.
